Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of very thin disposable sterile needles into specific points on the body. Initial visits include a comprehensive intake that helps to create a big picture image of the whole person. We will decide on a treatment plan including goals, number of treatments, and frequency of visits. Followup appointments include a brief intake followed by treatment based on the plan created. Adjunctive techniques may include electro-stimulation, cupping, gua sha, and tui na (massage). Movement, lifestyle, and diet are likely to be discussed as daily habits have a large impact on health.

Tui Na Only

Tui Na is a massage technique that is deeply embedded in the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to health care. Utilizing the meridian system (energetic channels) and acupressure points this practice works to impact acute and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Additionally, Tui Na can be used to treat circulatory, digestive, and respiratory disorders.
